MTS-AIHA Quarterly Meeting
Unraveling the Mysteries of a TOSHA Inspection
Monday, April 28, 2008 - 11:30am-1:00pm
Location: Tennessee OSHA; Nashville, TN
An overview of a TOSHA inspection will be presented which will include a couple case studies. The attendees will gain a sense of understanding as to the behind the scenes preparation that is required before, during, and after an inspection. Attention will be provided on document review, information sources, industrial hygiene monitoring capability, the notice of violation process, fines, and post-violation follow-up.
Directions:
I-65, Exit 85 (Metrocenter Blvd), Proceed north (away from Nashville). Turn right on Dominican Drive, then turn left on French Landing Drive. TOSHA is located at 220 French Landing Drive. Visiting parking is designated. All attendees are required to sign-in. A cafeteria is located on site with a few choices. Otherwise, attendees can bring food and several fast food establishments are located within a block of TOSHA's building.

Safety and Risk Management During Combat Operations In Iraq

101st Sustainment Brigade Safety & Q-West Installation Safety
Speaker Biography:
Jay Jennings is a Department of the Army Civilian (DAC) Tactical Safety Manager in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve. During his most recent deployment, he served as a DAC with the 101st Sustainment Brigade in Qayyarah, Iraq from August 2005 to August 2006. On previous deployments to Bosnia and Kosovo in 1997-98 and 2001-02, respectively, he was the Task Force Safety Officer as an activated Reserve officer. Mr. Jennings passed his Certified Safety Professional exam in Kosovo, the only person on record to pass the test in Yugoslavia. A 1982 graduate of West Point, Mr. Jennings and his wife Lou Anne and sons Jack and Sam reside in Erin, Tennessee.

This 18 hole championship golf course was designed by owner Johnny Baggett and opened in May of 2001. Pebble Brook is one of the most scenic golf courses in Middle Tennessee. Some elevation features may vary from 80 to 100 feet, offering scenic views and creating exciting golf shots.
